This Saturday: YASUJIRO OZU

Japanese master Yasujiro Ozu is that rare breed of director who is revered by other filmmakers. His stylistically austere, deceptively simple films examine the basic struggles that we all face in life: the cycles of birth and death, the transition from childhood to adulthood, and the tensions between tradition and modernity.
