Exploring Our Oceans

Most of the Earth's surface is covered by oceans. The ocean plays a role in everything from the air we breathe to daily weather and climate patterns to the food we eat. Scientists estimate that about one million species of animals live in the ocean from tiny zooplankton to giant sharks and whales. Researchers are exploring and discovering new information all the time.
