Indeed, that iconic figure is still occasionally resurrected in our allegedly more enlightened era (“Body Heat,” “Basic Instinct,” “Fatal Attraction,” “The Last Seduction,” etc.). However diverse their motives or tactics, these dangerous women prove to be more than a match for the generally hapless men in their lives.
