Tibetan Medicine Conference on Mind-Body Health 2017

The 2017 Tibetan Medicine Conference on Mind-Body Health held at the Harvard Medical School features speakers who recognize Tibetan medicine as a therapeutic system offering healing modalities that cross the great divide between mind and body. Researchers from Harvard, the University of California and other institutions have been mapping the benefits of mindfulness, attending to the spiritual basis of health foundational to Tibetan medicine while also exploring Tibetan pharmaceuticals as targeted therapies, often for biomedically defined diseases. With serious dialogue between traditional Tibetan medical practitioners and Western scholars, scientists, and clinicians, the conference helped establish future research collaborations that will carry forward the Tibetan medical tradition, raise its standards, and better serve humanity.
